SangRahl
I've refined my old loadout a bit...I play as a dedicated sniper... Max Small Guns and Sneak (Big/Energy/Melee/Unarmed all only raised by books, no training) and with Commando/Sniper/Finesse/Better Crit Perks it's rifles all the way. (except CQB) Reservist's Rifle - 3 shots with increased chance to crit and scoped for non-VATS sniping... If it's not dead from 3 shots, I'm going to have incoming targets, so I switch to...Lincoln's Repeater - Massively overpowered, but my go-to weapon for Super Muties, Mirelurk face-shots, and downrange incoming. Once they get too close, then I drop it for my trusty...Kneecapper - 75dmg, but only 2 rounds... I use it for VATS CQB (with Reaper's Sprint Perk) and doorway ambushes. Anything else (like Sydney's SMG) feels too powerful. The sickening damage is counterbalanced by the ungodly reload. Sydney's SMG is now in Clover's experienced hands. A far cry above her own pellet gun, and puts all the 10mm ammo I come across to good use. And I'll likely hand off the unique Chinese A.R. to Jericho, once I retrieve it. Guest
Hmmm so hard to decide... i love the reservists rifle because i can drop a yao guai in 1 shot but you have to love lincolns repeater its like a big .44 but the ripper is awsome. The ripper made going back to vault 101 very fun.
AzraelXD
Since there are so many playstyles, I guess I'll divide my Favorites into their respective skills: BIG GUNS: Experimental MERV - Nothing says "dinner's ready!" like 8 Mini-Nukes to the face. EXPLOSIVES: (tie) Nuka Grenade & Bottlecap Mine - All too useful. 1 Bottlecap mine is usually enough to kill/severely maim most anything in the game. A Sneak-Attack Nuka Grenade will usually kill anything but a Behemoth. ENERGY WEAPONS: Alien Blaster Pistol - For those pesky Deathclaws. SMALL GUNS: Lincoln's Repeater - The president wishes to speak. *BLAM* The president has spoken. Hail to the chief, baby. MELEE WEAPONS: Shish-kabob - Instant BBQ! Just remember to watch out for gas leaks. UNARMED: Deathclaw Gauntlet - IGNORES DAMAGE REDUCTION. 'Nuff said.
