TbirdOfPrey
I don't know if this has happened to anyone cause i have been looking here and on google. I was using the Edit Landscape tool and had to leave, so i saved my work, i came back and now it no longer is working. I have no red circle, can't raise/lower anything and can't even paint the ground ( each quad has only 2 textures ). I have looked at all of my settings and everything is fine. I even installed and reinstalled and nothing, Still acts the same. But whats really weird is that is doing it on my wife's PC too. I could really use some help here cause i am totally stumped. Thanks.

Thanks.refresh the games software. something got corrupted.pay attention to the files not getting replaced in steam. If it errors out on any file or just 1 file, run it again to make sure it repeats...if so, contact me in PM and I'll fix it for you. TbirdOfPrey
So i just finished verifying the files on both the game and ck and neither had any errors. I even went as far as reinstalling FO4. Still nothing, Is it possible that something in the ini files went bad.?

Purr4me
When the windows open, you should see all the graphics in full color. This is exactly what you should be seeing only with your name, not mine on the screen.
TbirdOfPrey
I ran the setup_exe and this is what opened up.
Purr4me
ok , and what takes place? hit Win key + g while that window is open then hit the record button, wait for the recorder to start, then click on the screen and hit play. when it crashes, close t desk top and go to users videos, there will be a captured video. up load that to YouTube so can watch what takes place. Purr4me
If the game and steam is installed in C:\Program Files And Folders(x86) then the saved work has been write protected so you need to remove that attribute from the file.Steam being installed at that location is a bad situation for modding files.UAC " User Account Control" is the issues, currently just now showing up in this manner.DO NOT mess with users permissions on your PC, once you go there , the system will assault the rest of the systems as it is designed to do that and then you can not go backwards. reinstall Steam any where but within a UAC area.External drive is fine. C:\games\Steam... is fine.Permissions issues on windows 10 propagate throughout the system. So just encase this is true for you, that is why you can no longer access full range of the programs ability as it is the only explanation possible. Location of install/ "Steam" is not an answer. Full Path= is. Kitty Black.

So i should uninstall and reinstall Steam in C:\games\steam correct? Also, sorry about the "STEAM" answer. This is where FO4 is located. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4 Sorry I'm a pain but this is really new to me. usually i can figure out small things on my own but now i want to delve deeper and learn more. It is I that made the assumption as to what the problem is because every one falls for the same mistakes.Basically yeah, reinstall steam anywhere but where it is now.I tied in vain to reproduce the issues here, failed, all get is full operational editing available. But I do not install the games software's or for that matter anything in default locations. Windows 10 is mean, really really mean.C:\games should be fine. just leave your stuff where it's at now and if you have the drive space go ahead and reinstall but, the FO4 game is very big, 80 gig's plus if you have that extra textures pack. be aware of that.
