Loumbas Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 I heard ina forum about a guy falling of the sky. Is that true or is it like the dragon stories and other "I wish" stuff or is it a mod? If its true where can I see this (I mean is he part of a quest or he just drops if you go somewhere)? P.S. Does he survive the fall?
Faust870 Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 I think who you are talking about is the man that created the scroll of "something" flight, which is a scroll that increases acrobatics by 1000, and kills you when you land, because of the impact...He doesnt survive the fall sadly... (hes around Seyda Neen)
Loumbas Posted May 1, 2004 Author Posted May 1, 2004 The scroll is Icarian flight (I have a couple of them). I dont remember if I picked up one from a body. I remember a body around Scyda but I thinkit was a dead tax collector (part of a quest). You mean I just go to Scyda and walk around and wait for the guy to fall from the sky? I have pretty muchwalked around there a lot early in the game and nothing dropped except damn cliffers with a death wish. ;)
Breton Thief Oriana Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 Another duplicate thread, im sure... But, you never know, since hes that easy to find that someone probably wouldnt ask. I found him by accident the first time I ever played MW. If you have the scrolls, the guy has fallen from the sky, and therefore is dead and cannot do it again. Strangely, I ran up to him and talked to him right before he died on impact. He said "I dont want to talk about it!! [Goodbye]".
Darkh Templar Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 The falling Bosmer is called Tarhiel and he has 3 Icarian flight scrolls on his person. IIRC you can find him if you take the northern road out of Seyda Neen. And Faust, the DOI can be solved with a 1pt levitation spell.
Xeniorn Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 When you use the scroll and jump, you will fly until end of duration (7sec, I think). But since you have 3 of them, you can use the second one just before you touch the ground, and you will land safely and unharmed (because you don't get falling damage when you acrobatics is 1000).
mrpyromania Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 Or just enchant a ring with slowfall as much as you can CE. Equpi it when you can see the ground. No need to waste any of those precious scrolls.
Slaiv Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 Or, if you want to cheat [though cheating in games like this is a sin], turn on god mode. It solves both problems: No DOI. Scrolls aren't used up [meaning that you can use them, but they won't disappear.] Like I said, cheating sucks though.
Hogosha Ookami Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 lil tip, 1 point of scroll fall means you fall at a normal speed and dont take damage when yo8u hit. Lil thing i picked up but dont use.
Maquissar Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 Another way of not dying on impact is to aim for the sea and then swim back to the coast... you will not die if you land in water, however high you jump :) But I'd rather use slowfall! However, this is what I did the first times I played Morrowind. It's not a very reliable method though ;)
