WrathOfDeadguy
A "Bouncing Betty" type mine would be pretty sweet too; once set off it launches up to head level and detonates, crippling or gibbing the heads of any human-sized enemies nearby (Super Mutants, being taller, would take damage mostly to their arms, weapons and torso). Ingredients- 1x Sensor Module, 1x Frag Grenade, 1x Cherry Bomb (for the launching charge), 1x Tin Can.
genovauk
stun mines\frags to go with the slaver mezzer weapons from stargate, I do believe there is an alien crash site if i'm not mistaken so more alien weapons etc catapult toy using bits found around the wasteland that might be fun usable traps like the bear traps, rigged shotguns, frag nade traps
Shadowclaimer
I would like to see an upgrade to the Super Sledge, one with more glowy tubing and such, to make it look like a more technological Sledge Hammer.
hbar
Chaff grenades that put all robots/turrets in the blast radius into 'frenzy' mode
Shadowclaimer
Chaff grenades that put all robots/turrets in the blast radius into 'frenzy' mode Yes! That would be awesome. I'd love to have Flashbangs as well that temporarily disable Humanoids hit by it, as well as possibly sticky grenades that when thrown stick to whatever they hit if that's possible =p (Aka Humans, Walls, whatever) I would like to see more Biowarfare as well, Radiation-spewing Flamethrowers anyone? madcaddie
More REAL guns is what we need more the anything. Is anyone on here familiar with Stalker? If I could combine the gun fights of Stalker with the open ended world of Fallout you would have the perfect FPS/RPG. See below for what I think should be put in, I've split it into US & Chinese weapons as absolutely massive numbers of chinese weapons would be around in the wasteland from the war. Also I haven't gone with any new US guns such as the LR-300 that are being phased in now as I've assumed the cold war never ended in the Fallout universe and the HK G11 went into full production with caseless Pistols & SMGs soon following, also for simplicity I'll assume the Chinese stay with 7.62x39mm and never adopted the weird 5.8mm they seem to love today. Lastly only the Brotherhood of Steel & Enclave are well enough equipped to make new caseless ammo and several old weapons would also make a come back as being simple to make in the wasteland from scrap etc. Only done Rifles, SMGs & Machine Guns so far. US WeaponsSMGsM3 (Newly made in the wastes from old schematics)MAC-10 (Newly made in the wastes from old schematics)MAC-11 (Newly made in the wastes from old schematics)Colt 635MP5UMPMP7 (With Caseless Ammo)P90 (With Caseless Ammo) RiflesWinchester 1895 (Newly made in the wastes from old schematics)M1903 (WW2 Surplus)M1 Garand (WW2 Surplus)M1 & M2 Carbines (Still used by some Police/Government Agencies today in the US, also M1s were Sold to the public in huge numbers after WW2)M-14FN-FAL (Popular with shooters in the States and still made their today)Ruger Mini-14 & 30M-16A1M-16A2M4A1HK G11Successor to the G11 (More futuristic looking, bigger clip etc) MGsM60 (Various Versions)M240Browning M2HB .50 (Need Power armour to use!!) Chinese WeaponsRiflesType-56 Carbine (Chinese SKS)Type-56 (Chinese AK-47)Type 56C (Chinese AK-47SU)Type-81Type-86 (Bullpup Rifle)Type-95 (But in 7.62X39mm) SMGsPPSh-41 (Chinese Version)Type-64Type-79Type-05 MGsType-67 (Chinese PKM)Type-88Type-81MGS (Chinese RPK)Type-85 12,7x108mm (Need Power Armour or be a super mutant!!) Also is multiple ammo types possible such as FMJ, AP, API, JSP & JHP for the one gun??
Wreckless1
I'd like to see Molotov Cocktails, with the fun fire effects in the game its a no-brainer - plus you could 'make' them using bottles and gasoline... or maybe using the booze you find everywhere! I've also got another huge vote for the Gauss Weapons, as well as the Pulse pistol & Rifle. I also want a sniper rifle that actually *ban* *works* I really liked seeing the M1 Garand in Fallout:Tactics, but taking a Wikipedia list of currently tacticool/COD4 guns and mixing them with a Wikipedia list of Battlefield 1942 isn't the answer. What I'd like to see are more fictional weapons - the "AK-112" firing a fictional 5mm round was perfect for Fallout. Same with the Sig 14mm Pistol even if it borrowed imagery from a .22LR Hammerli Target pistol. Keep in mind that weapons currently en vogue right "now" at this instant will be 70 years old when the bombs fall in 2077, and that's discounting the timeline split of Fallout in 1950. I don't want to see a catalog of the same poo we see in every other FPS/shooter - I want to see a some well-informed creative license in filling in that gap and adding to the richness of the lovely flavor that is Fallout. Sure, put in the ubiquitous sawed-off side-by-side 12 gauge, plus the occasional M1911 floating around and maybe an old Winchester lever-action as an easter egg gun somewhere.. but I want to see more AK-112's, stuff like maybe a bullpup Type-822 rifle that fires a yet-undefined 7.2mm Chinese rifle ammo, perhaps a Martell industries L61 battle rifle that fired 8mm caseless rifle ammo developed by Cogswell ballistics for the US Army only to get shelved for the Rockwell G191 Rifle firing standard-issue "5mm" Why stick to reality and inevitably vulk up details and pick the same boring weapons, when there's nothing but a wide open door for a little creative license and fun fluff? This would also allow the programmers to tweak damage, fire rate, range, etc to fit the playing dynamic of the game well, and not be handicapped by trying to represent an actual weapon or ammunition accurately? Makes nothing but sense to me... oh well.
madcaddie
I agree completely with you the top shelf weapons should be what you've described however it does make sense that old weapons will still be in use as either left overs (properly stored a gun will still work after 200 years) or made in the wastes from old schematics (why reinvent the wheel?).
