Elraine's Random Art

Well, I finished the piece earlier than I thought;

Tagged aswell, although it should be fairly well concealed and thus not bother people a lot. The only reason that the work came around faster than I originally planned was that I used the half finished render on my sig, so there was only half left to do.(I do all the rending jobs that I need myself. Either self drawn or screenshot rendered and enhanced.) The character in this shot is Lightning from Final Fantasy 13.

Side note; The rendering job on this one still isn't 100% perfect and I will be enhancing it later when I get more skilled at it. Also, I can make lower reso. versions of all my works on request, so if you're interested and need a smaller one, send me a pm.

I guess I could although we do have an official request thread for them. Anyway, you have anything specific in mind that you'd want it to have?

Also on a side note; I started noticing that my works are darker than what they seem on my own PC.(Posting from school atm.) It also explains why some say they can't see much in them, although I can see them myself perfectly. I'm not sure what is causing it, yet, but it's likely something with my own display model and the normal gamma/lighting settings it has. I'll see if I can do something to change that.

edit; At home now, display settings are at max brightness/contrast and gamma is set to mode 1. Basically anyone that uses darker settings would likely not see my works the way I intended.(Been using these display settings for over 5 years now.) I'll check if I'll be able to work with a darker desktop base setting, but I honestly saying doubt it.

I just added a new version of the last desktop BG I made(Look a few posts up.), with brighter light settings, so I'd appreciate any feedback on if it's visible now, or still too dark to see.(Talked with a few friends, who only now bothered to mention they had seen the background as pure black...) I'm unwilling to change my own display settings, but it is easy enough to change the light setups in my works to adjust them to be more visible for others, so any feedback in that regard will be appreciated.

edit; Added a third version with even more light, to get a wider base for comparison to see what settings to use, so people will actually be able to view my works. Next works will be with brighter overall themes, so I'd like not to screw them up completely.

The first one Personally I like the more black background and character on the side, its better for desktop too for me anyway. Cool pics Elraine.

I PM'ed you the versions with changed font. I also just noticed the topic title change I asked was a bit of a failure(Asked for "Elraine's Random Art", but they left the X DLC X there.), but.. ahh just forget it. I guess it happens when it's getting late and mods get tired.(Requested a fix to it, when they aren't too busy.) :wink:
