VGI
POSSIBLE SPOILER! I am positive about this: I have never attacked any Outcast Brotherhood member. So why da heck are they hostile now? Does it have anything to do with me having the Lawbringer Perk? I'd like to make them neutral again through the console command. SPOILER UPDATE: The Brotherhood Outcast in Operation: Anchorage Outpost are still friendly to you. But any and all Brotherhood Outcast in the Wastes, including all in Fort Independence, are hostile. WHY!?!?!?! What did I do? Is this some effect of the Unofficial Patch? UPDATE#2: Possible solutions: http://asia.gamespot.com/fallout-3/forum/why-are-the-brotherhood-outcasts-all-hostile-50497907/ Try these console commands:player.removefromfaction 00033089 ; (removal from Outcast enemy faction)clearfactionplayerenemyflag 0001d3ff ; (clear Outcast crimes)clearfactionplayerenemyflag 00030520 ; (clear OutcastGeneric crimes)setally 0001b2a4 0001d3ff 0 0 ; (sets player faction and Outcast friendly)setally 0001b2a4 00030520 0 0 ; (sets player faction and OutcastGeneric friendly) Thank you Sir traveltheory. nenina
Some of the protectrons and robobrains and sentry bots you see out in the wastes are outcast faction. You may have killed some from such a distance that you couldn't see the red painted metal. Yes, having the Lawbringer Perk is bad because the Outcasts are considered an evil faction. VGI, Nenina's absolutely correct on shooting bots out in the wastes. I've also observed Outcast protectron's with the standard "US Army olive drab" paint scheme out there. If the bot isn't hostile, I leave it alone... to stay on the Outcasts good side, at least until I join the Brotherhood in Take It Back! Another thing that might've put you on the Outcast's bad side is land mines. It's not explained in the game why, but any NPC who is injured by one of your mines is hostile to you though they didn't see you lay it and even if you're nowhere around when they are injured by it (I guess the LW scribbles a message on all his mine's, "KaBOOM B***CHES!!!! Warm regards, Lone Wanderer :P " ) I learned this the hard way by mining spawn points in the wasteland and accidentally blowing up scavengers, wastelanders, Outcasts (and having them be hostile for the rest of the game), etc. Now I'm *very* careful where I leave mines early in the game. SirRomin
I noticed the same thing after becoming an honorary member Lyons Pride. Figures, they are different factions and sworn enimies after all. Edited December 8, 2012 by SirRomin
