MDRud216
Jone put an arm around myropnous' shoulder and turned him away from Julius. Whispering quietly he says: "listen, either we forget about our past and work together now," he paused as if to asses myropnous' expression then continued, "or i kill you, right here, right now. What do you say?" After the last intimidating question he glances over his shoulder at the impatient looking Julius.
Shadow of the Fallen
OOC: At last, my computer is working as it should. IC: Myropnous appraised Jone carefully, weighing the seriousness of his words. After a few moments of silence, he caved in. "Whats past is past, though I can't say I will forget easily. For now we will work together."
Shadow of the Fallen
A chill shuddered down your spine and the hairs on the back of your neck began to bristle as the sudden, subconcious realization that something was wrong drifted over you. Quickly, you glanced around, seeing that your new comrads were doing the same, though you noticed nothing out of the ordinary. Just the open sea!.. Open sea! Where was the land?! Where were the lights?! A violent rush of fear gripped you with the thought of being stuck in the ocean forever. The blood ran from your face and adrenaline began to build up in your system. What were you going to do now? You're stuck in the middle of an ocean with only one paddle and foor enough for the night. Tomorow you would be hungry, and the day after.. And the day after that.. ------------------------------- Snoring invaded the morning, its obnoxious sound echoing from the beach, sending crabs and small animals running for their burrows while adventurous seagulls decided to investigate. They landed on the rim of a small wooden lifeboat, watching its noisy contents as they slept. All three of them repeatedly produced the annoying sound that had them so preoccupied, they were so busy sleeping off the worries of the night before that they hadn't realised it when they'd grounded themselves on the beach and instead fell asleep still fearing that they would be lost forever. Soon, they would wake up and realise that their previous fears had been foolish. Perhaps it would be with a start that they woke, for the birds still loomed ominously above them. And something darker loomed before them.
MDRud216
Jone suddenly stirred and threw himself foreward as if to lift himself from his troubling dreams. The fear of his nightmare faded quickly as the cool breeze met his face and he turned to see his two companions snoring near him... Soon he shifted his gaze inland, seeing <insert landscape shadow>. It seemed strange to him, ominous in fact, another troubling fact was that he could not remember what had happened to land him here, without a ship. Again he turned, this time to face the sea, scanning in vain for the ship. After sitting for a moment with his face in his hands Jone reached over into the pebbly sand and drew out a handfull, which he tossed in the faces of the two men, waking them both quite suddenly."Wake up, weve grounded." Shadow of the Fallen
OOC: Lol, who sent for a wake up call? IC: You're on a beach, the front of the boat pointing out to sea. Behind you, away from the ocean the sandy shoreline ends abruptly about 50 yards from where you are sitting. To either side, the ocean, beach, and forest stretch as far as the eye can see, making it difficult to tell if you've hit the main land or an island, though the weather is slightly warmer. Actually, the surroundings seem rather pleasent considering the circumstances, but something seems out of place. Its hard to put your finger on at the moment, but it puts you on edge.. Chunky_Moose
Julius awoke, his face in the sand. He wearily turned himself onto his back and coughed and spluttered. Myropnous was lying some way up the beach and he could see Jone up and about on the other side. Julius lay there for some time before managing to gather the strength to get up. "Jone" he called out, "Where are we? What happened?"
MDRud216
"I don't know," he replies, looking about from his place inside the boat as if to suddenly find an answer in the distance. "We must have drifted south, I am not familiar with these waters."Jone got to his feet and began to stroll up the beach, after a time he turned inland as if giving up the walk. Before he plunged into the woods he turned back to see if his cmpanions were following.
Chunky_Moose
OOC: Lord of the Flies..lol IC: Julius hastily dragged Myropnous to his feet and almost dragged the semi-conscious man to follow after Jone. They entered the wood and walke slowly throught it. Myropnous stood up straight and half-eaten fruit fell on him. The monkeys in the canopies of the trees obviously did not welcome these three strange creatures arrived fresh from the sea. Julius looked around and picked some of the fruit on the trees, and throwing some to Jone and Myropnous, began to eat.
Shadow of the Fallen
While Jone's prediction on having drifted south seemed likely at morning, the icy blasts of wind that ripped through the forest at midday told you otherwise. Most of the trees were pine, with a few others scattered at random intervals. The shrubbery was sparse, though a thick blanked of pine needles almost gave the impression of grass. Several times, you were forced to stop and sit from exaustion from the almost unnatural cold.. And those times huddled together on the forest floor were not the most comfortable. It was perhaps two hours after high noon when you came to a small cottage; run down, but homey looking. It was nestled comfortably into the cleft of a large mass of stone, worn smooth with age. At a glance, the rock almost looked as though it had once been at the base of a mountian, but the mountain had been cut away, and all but this little section and the house it sheltered had dissapeared from the world. Scattered about a small clearing at the front of the yard were various farm tools and random items that had somehow survived some great amount of years. Roots and vines had gathered with the pineneedles, and threatened to choke the life from the yard like clearing. They also ran up the sides of an old stone well, nearly trasforming the brick and mortar into a solid green carpet of vegetation. No one seemed to be home, and it didn't look like anyone was coming back... And it was getting dreadfully cold outside.
MDRud216
Jone steps up three aged stone steps and to the front of a rotten wood door, only three vertical boards were left, held together by moss covered horizontals, allowing Jone to see inside... before attempting to open the door he draws his sword, always quick to be aggresive like ussual. he turns to Julious: "I have a feeling something else has already had the same idea that i have right now... to stay here for a while"
