acidsplasher
Currently running Morrowind GOTY and Galsiahs Character Development.I have a concern over my character however. He is a redguard paladin designed to run into battle wearing heavy armour sheild and longsword but also to be handy with restoration alteration ad mystisicm schools of magic. Having got to level 7 however, have found my pool of magick to be extremely small, (28) . This means I can barely cast 2 spells (a sheild spell that makes hardly any difference only 5 points and a heal spell and I have no magicka left...) This means I am being discouraged from using my meagre magicka and am relying mostly on melee in combat... This defeats the whole point of roleplaying as a Paladin style charater, I may as well be a pure warrior. So my question is whether this is a result of using GCD, and if so is my build viable? How can I roleplay a heavy armour melee character that uses a few schools of magic well, without reverting to the horrible vanilla levelling system? [i found that it forced you to micromanage skills to get all 15 atributes per level and was horrible for those ocd like me who couldnt bear the tought of leveling and not optimizing. That was the reason I restarted a new game using GCD because it seemed like it would make it a much more natural, immersive, funner leveling process, and would stop me spamming skills for 10 miutes per level before actually playing the game... It really did annoy me having to pick skills I never used in reality as 'major' skills just so I could level certain attributes... Ironic, the skills I used the least were considered my major, or main skills...I hated choosing skills I actually wanted to be minor..or even worse miscelaneous skills...made absalutely no sense whatsoever..ludicris]
