issues with vortex and skyrimvr and SKSEVR version

For some reason when trying to run skse (the vr) version i get a message saying skyrimvr.exe not found.

 

on the vortex desktop i get the sksevr tab and can edit it etc

 

however when i run it i get the skyrimvr.exe not found message.

 

I appear to be able to run skse outside of vortex by making a short cut etc on desktop but not through votex. I have not used votex before but have used NMM

 

i am not sure whether i cocked up the original installation.

 

do i have to do a manaul install of sksevr fisrt ie copying the scripts etc into the game folder or can i simply use vortex to do the complete process for me.

 

I am thinking of starting again with.

 

if starting again should i simply just reinstall skyrim vr or is there another simpler solution ie can i pick which files i need to delete

Couple of points.

I recommend manual installation of SKSEVR to make sure you get scripts and files in the right place.

You need to edit the Vortex shortcut to SKSEVR on your Vortex dashboard. Point it to the executable in your game directory.

Don't reinstall Skyrim over this. You really have a very small problem.
