javishpr
I haven't played Skyrim in a long while and today I decided to install the game again. I've never played the SE version cause when it came out I already stopped playing Skyrim. After installing Skyrim SE and some of my favorite mods (Using Vortex) I loaded the game and it all seemed fine. I created my char (I'm using Alternate Start-Live Another Life mod) I noticed that my charcter couldn't move. The A,S,D,W, keys weren't working thou movement was bind to those keys. All other keys worked perfectly except those 4. I don't remember having that problem back then so not sure how to fix it. Any one knows what might be causing the problem and how to fix this? Any help will be appreciated!!! Edited October 19, 2019 by javishpr
AsaHerring
First, verify the integrity if your game cache through steam. If that doesn't work, it could be your game is detecting a controller plugged in. If you have one plugged in, unplug it and verify again. If that doesn't work, make a copy of, then delete, "ControlMap_Custom.txt" in your install location, then launch the game. If that does nothing, verify again.I've experienced some mods that add certain gear messing with player movement, but I've always been able to fix the issue just by unequipping and re-equipping gear.If you press your auto walk key, Ctrl by default I believe, what happens? If your character does not auto walk, then it's likely not key binding related and rather your character is bugged in place.Use the console to turn off collision, "tcl". If you're able to then move, your character hitbox was colliding with something. What happens when you go into 3rd person camera? Is your character able to rotate? Can you draw and sheath your fists?Try using the "coc" command to force teleport to a different location, it may be related to the "Life Another Life" game cell. If none of this works, then turn off all Plugins using Vortex, make a new character, and start turning back on mods from there. Also, post your mod load order. Preferably paste it in a google doc and share the link here. Your plugin list can be found in "Your user name/AppData/Local/Skyrim Special Edition/plugins.txt" Edited October 20, 2019 by AsaHerring
