Nose Problems

Anyone have an idea as to what might be causing the ripple effect on the nose of my character? It seems to affect the player character and the vanilla followers (that I have seen so far) but not a standalone plugin follower. No matter what preset I load the effect is still there even when trying to use citrus head with the head part slider in the correct position. I have CBBE, Bodyslide-Outfit Studio, CHSBHC-BBP-Nude and Jiggly, HDT Physics, and XP32 Max Skeleton activated.

1. which mod manager you use (MO can help with overwrite tracking and left pane load order is important), (NMM physicaly overwrites and reinstall is needed)

2. reinstall face textures - if they are combined with body textures reinstall pack of combined ones.

3. try another face texture pack to see if that solves the problem - will produce neck seam, unless combined with body textures.

Sorry for the delay in answering, just got back from traveling.

dreamdweller,

I can see no other mods that would overwrite the face textures other than CBBE, RaceMenu, or RaceMenu MorphsCBBE which I think is part of BodySlide. Your suggestion above I think might be worth exploring. My thought is that the CBBE body textures were loaded correctly but the face pack was not. I will try today to reinstall these mods to see if that changes anything.

NexusComa,

Thank you for the reply. Can you explain? Do you mean that the base race of my character (Nord) is not matching a preset that I’m trying to use? I can see this effect on other NPC’s / followers.

Thanks varkonasnorse,
But I think I found the solution. I tried to delete the CBBE and CHSBHC mods and reinstall then hoping this would fix the problem but I had a preset that was sort of baked into the game and I couldn’t change it. So I deleted said mods then moved the saves from my current game / character to a safe space and forced the game to start a new game. I started a new vanilla character and then installed CBBE making sure the body and face pack elements of the mod were working correctly. After the game was saved with the mods still activated I cleared the new game and moved my old game saves back into the proper folder and it seems to have worked. I got rid of the Klingon nose and everything seems to be back to normal. Not sure if this is the proper way to fix this problem but it worked for me. I now have a basic starting character that can be modified with presets and what not.
