Assuming we get another episodic DLC ala Dawnguard...

Bethesda should add another transformation. Maybe not necessarily one so intricately tied into the plot like vampire lords are, but just something to break the tedium that they and werewolves have become. Werebears would be the obvious choice, as they were meant to be in the game originally, but I can't think of much they would do differently; certainly not enough to fill another perk tree. Thoughts?

I agree. I was thinking to myself that since two daedra princes already have transformations, we should go full bore and give them to the other 14 as well. ;) The only other one that stands out to me is that Nocturnal's would be some sort of shade/wraith/living shadow, and Meridia's perhaps something angelic... Malacath's maybe gargoyles, the same gargoyles vampires keep as minions. I could see a shadow perk tree, at least, though it would be all stealthy and not combat-y like the other two. Instead of choosing when to change back like vampires and having to kill to extend it like werewolves, you transform back when you're detected. ^^

You're right, though, that were-bears and were-cats and were-anything seems like it would pretty much be exactly the same as were-wolves. Changing the animal doesn't really change the mechanic very much. I'll be pretty disappointed if the only other transformation we were to get is were-bears and they're just ursine werewolves.

The solution: a sea-themed dlc with weresharks.

That would make it much more interesting when you're forced back into your normal form. ;)
