rad666a
Found this while reading the front page at "No Mutants Allowed". Thought it was funny, and figured you all might enjoy it too: "Sure, gone is the staggeringly beautiful fantasy realm of Oblivion, replaced by a nuclear wasteland of unrelenting but wholly captivating scenic bleakness. Bethesda knows how to build a world. It's world execution is flawless. What it can't do is convey actual people as anything besides soulless, patrol-route jerk puppets." How true, though while it's less obvious F3 than in ESIV, but it's true nonetheless. BTW, I enjoy, and own, both Oblivion and Fallout 3, so I'm not a hater ;). Circuitous
At least the NPCs have unique conversations now. That's certainly a step up. Hearing Colin female dog out Gob and Nova was amusing.
Probe1
Yeah the dialogue is better but still the Bethesda writers.. well their pretty damn terrible. On one hand I'm disappointed with the reduced amount of background story/information on terminals compared to Fo1 and 2. On the other hand, I'm terrified of what Bethesda could have done :P What deeeefinitely needed more work was the black humor. Moira=\=funny. wharmaster
it's a step in the right direction. I hired Jericho out of Megaton to hang with me...worth the thousand caps, in my opinion. Anyway...this guy's got some personality. If you get tired of him bitching about being out of cigarettes..hook him up with a few packs, or a carton. He'll actually smoke them. Of course..then you have to deal with him coughing all the time....and bitching that he's out of breath. I'm pretty stoked that the companions have personalities though. It's a step up from the companion mods in Oblivion, that's for damn sure. Can't wait to see what can be done as far as companion modding in this game eventually. Circuitous
Moira=\=funny.Moira is great, what the hell are you talking about? She's so damn chipper/naive/insane. Not everyone has to be a sarcastic turkey/generally angry/depressed all the time. The obsession with black humor is getting a little tiring, really. Denamic
I like Moira.I now have a smiley stitched to somewhere I can't see. Generally though, the characters feel a bit shallow, with a few exceptions. And there's not nearly enough dialogue options, imo.But I am not unsatisfied with it.
