TyburnKetch
Hi, Iâm having an issue as the topic title suggests. Every interior I visit when my mod is loaded is appearing as youâd expect. Nicely framed overview of the interior (local) surroundings with the player at the center. When I open the map in my developing player home however it opens the local map and Iâm zoomed so far out that most of the window is blank, with my interior (with door markers and my player ref etc) very small at the bottom of the window. I have to zoom and reposition in to achieve a look that is consistent with any other local map interior. I have literally realised whilst writing this that my problem is to do with the mountain ranges I have in the interior cell, outside a giant window, to mimic the mountains in my linked exterior cell :( My local map is massive as a result! Edit* thinking about this the mountain range shouldnât really make a difference. I should still be zoomed in to the player ref âcurrent positionâ. So now my question is can I manipulate the position the local map opens up on? Can I set the zoom height and position somehow? If not, any suggestions of how I can navigate around this issue? Many thanks for any assistance and hope Iâve put this in the right place. Edited October 21, 2019 by TyburnKetch

NexusComa
You can hide objects on the map. It's right at the bottom of every object when you edit them. Some things you don't want to be showing on the map.
TyburnKetch
Yep. Thank you for your response. It is the mountain range that is the problem. Attempting to catch all the scenery I have done to tick the (now glaringly obvious) hide from local map flag however, is proving tiresome. Been at it all morning. I have centred my house by adding a mountain object behind it. I am still however zoomed right out when the Local map opens due to the cell being pretty large. Any way to script (alter game settings) a more fixed staring zoom position? Or should I preserve with trying to catch a large number of references to not show on local map? Edit* Ok I can be sure that âhide from local mapâ is not working after selecting all the references from the mountain range in the cell view window list. The local map is still using the references to determine the size of the cell and therefore the starting height of the camera. I have added a very simple OnActivate script to my wall map to try and disable the mountain references on activation but that is not helping either. Disabling the reference has no affect on the local map. The Local map is still using the disabled reference to position my current location as though it was there and being used by the local map. Also tested this script as an OnTriggerEnter with a triggerbox. So disabling and hiding the references from local map flag does not seem to be taken into account on the local map as the camera is still very high. Am I again missing something extremely obvious? TyburnKetch
So there is no way to fix the camera height when the local map opens then? Hide from Local Map does not seem to be working as intended. Edited October 22, 2019 by TyburnKetch
