Slow site load.

Hello.

 

This is not really much of an issue but it is slightly annoying. I have been experiencing for several months now that the forums and the main nexus site loads a bit slow for me. It can take up to 5 seconds until it's done loading. I'm suspecting it has something to do with the site having to remove the ads or something. I have the supporter tag, which removes all the ads featured on the site as well as here. I've tried going to the site whilst being logged out, with no problems whatsoever, so I'm assuming it's the ads.

 

If so, why? Is this just the way it is or is this something that can be fixed somehow? This question is mainly targeted towards the mods, but if you have an answer, do tell.

To narrow down possible causes:

 

What browser are you using and are you using any browser plugins at all?

 

Have you tried a different browser?

 

Is this just on the site or the forums as well?

Chrome. An adblocker, and a twitch-plugin, but the twitch-plugin shouldn't interfere with your sites. Also, because of my supporter status, I have the adblocker disabled on here and the nexus, as it is not needed.
