Problem with shading on model

Hello, I have a problem with shading on model. Something is wrong with lighting. Ingame the gauntlet in question appears to be very dark, even if light rays directly onto it. Textures are fine, however when I imported model into 3ds max there are some some black lines showing up. Here is a screenshot showing the problem:

What is wrong? And how can I fix this?

 

Step by step instructions are welcome.

You might need to face the normals and update the tangent space. I know how to do this in Nifskope, but not in 3ds max. In Nifskope, right-click on the model in the render window, choose "mesh->face normals" then "mesh->update tangent space" (then save the updated model). You should see the textures become brighter/clearer. Alternatively, the black lines might be originating from the normal map itself, in which case making a new normal map should fix the problem.
