Also, I can't get more than 5 digits under #4, so it only reads 1.82882.

I have the same problem. Anyone got an idea how to fix this?

Nevermind, I found out how to do it. (Operations - Heightfield - Change horizontal scale)

In any case, THANKS to the OP for this tutorial! I was slowly getting mad cause no matter what I did, the RAW file turned my landscape into a horrible torn mess cause every other tutorial was missing a few necessary details. Now I'm beginning to believe that I'll be able to create a worldspace after all.

I created a 4096x4096 map, and it was somewhat successful. There were strange gaps in the map. When I looked at the heightmap in the CK, there were squares on the map, which caused deformations in the land.

I"ll show you what I mean:

Notice the blocks on the screen (I circled a few). BTW this is a view from the CK of the heightmap.

They're all over the place! Any solutions? The land they form is higher up, and creates weird gaps in the land.

Any help would be appreciated. Nice tut by the way!

There is a glitch in tesannwyn in which it will mudge the landscape where the heights vary greatly. You have two options:

1.) Use a guassian blur effect on your image before importing it. It will even out the contrast between heights, but it evens out the contrast between heights.

2.) Correct it manually in the Creation Kit/Consruction Kit/GECK. Since you are using a 4096x4096, you obviously have a 128x128 cell worldspace, and I now the GECK/Construction Kit will not display anything beyond 64x64 cell. I'm pretty sure it's the same for the Creation Kit, Bethesda didn't fix the problems between the Construction Kit and the GECK, I doubt they did the same when going to Creation Kit. Anyway, you'll need to use Tesannwyn to export your Worldspace back into a image to completely find all of the mudged landscape. Use the grid option to help you.

I'm having the same issue with only being able to enter a few decimal points on step 4, I tried going to operations>heightfield>change horizontal scale but the option is greyed out and unselectable. Using L3DT v11.11 please help! Do I need an older version? How do I fix this?

Evidently the newest development version supports greater decimal places. You can download it as a beta or wait for the next release, but an official release isn't expected until around or after the new year.

Hi! I'm having a strange problem when creating 2048x2048 worldspace: When I load my esp in ck, the lod seems accurate but the actual land is somehow out of place. It's way too smooth, the altitudes are wrong and, most of all, it doesn't match with the lod at all. I repeated the whole process several times but the result is always the same. I'm using L3DT v.11.11. Can anyone help me?

Not sure if someone is still reading this topic... however I have repeated twice all the operations described in th tutorial and both times the whole my space was totally under the water. The tessanwyn in the resulting report says that the highest point is 0 (zero) m. And when I go to skyrim and teleport to my new space all I can see is just water.

I created a full tutorial for this.

Most of it can be skipped over if you already have the L3DT project.

Best bet would be starting at the Setting the Horizontal Scale section.

I've seen already your tutorial a few days ago, when was looking for information how to create a map in L3DT for Skyrim. I'll try it later, thank you for your reply. Now I'am really tired about all these external programs and decided to use Creation Kit itself to make a new external cell for my island. This is probably not the very efficient way but definitely the most easiest one.

hey there.

Tried to open the Picture form the tutorial.
Do I have to use a Special Programm? Or are they deleted?

Another question I didn't read since I try to make a worldmap is:
Maybe I want to make a worldmap with 35x35 Km, like the Fallout 4 map which size do I ahve to choose? 2048? 4096?

Or do I have to make those specifications in the creation kit?
