watdocdude
May take awhile with my internet. All but one of the clothes I've downloaded have worked, so it's not just this mod.
watdocdude
Well, once again, that didn't work. Oh well, I'll have time to fiddle with it in the morning.
watdocdude
None of the mods I've recently downloaded have worked, so I assume now that it's something I'm doing.
myrmaad
So, should I move the meshes folder into the Oblivion->data->meshes then? No, that's not right. Do not put the meshes folder inside the meshes folder. I'm 99.9% sure that's the trouble. Look inside your meshes folder. If there's another folder inside it named "meshes" than that's the problem. You MERGE the meshes folder into the meshes folder, you do not MOVE it inside the meshes folder.
watdocdude
Ok, then that must be the problem. Now how do I merge?
myrmaad
Ok, then that must be the problem. Now how do I merge? Under normal circumstances you would extract the meshes file to the address Oblivion->data not Oblivion->data>meshes Since you've already made a secondary meshes folder inside the primary meshes folder, you could just select all the stuff inside the secondary folder and drag them into the primary folder, then delete the empty secondary folder. I just had a look at the zipped file structure in that download. it comes with a Data folder. In that case you should have extracted the Data folder into your Oblivion directory. The readme doesn't explain the procedure at all.
watdocdude
I just extract the file into at temp. location, then copy the meshes ->meshes and the textures->textures. So I should be doing something else?Working with files has never been my strongpoint... EDIT: I'm using 7z by the way, if that helps anything

Instead of extracting to a temporary location, which is completely unnecessary and is the reason things are getting fudged up, you should simply: Open the archive with 7z Double click the folder called Black Courtesan Select the Data folder to highlight Click the Extract button at the top menu Make sure the Copy To address points to your Oblivion directory (not Oblivion>Data) and click ok. If it asks to overwrite choose "yes to all".
