Merquetio
Help! I've performed a quick search, full search, and even tried to manually install KCD within Vortex (found the KingdomCome.exe file in WindowsApps) and I keep getting this message "This directory doesn't appear to contain the game. Expected to find these files: Bin/Win64/KingdomCome.exe." I've also completed a complete file search for the above string "Bin/Win64/Kingdomcome.exe" on all my hard drives/SSDs and have had 0 results. Please help. ginkarasu
If I remember correctly, games you buy on Microsoft store, you don't really own as you do with steam, GOG etc.You won't have permission to look inside the games folder. Also in my experience, you don't even have the exe file on your computer. Only some kind of shortcut. So in other words, you can't mod games bought on MSsince you don't have a recognisable folder structure.
MUSpro
What if it's from the Epic Store? Got KCD free yesterday and tried to connect Vortex to it, but the folder structure is different. Instead of Bin/Win64 folder, it has Bin/Win64MasterMasterEpicPGO Vortex requires us to select the master game folder rather than the game exe itself. Is there a way to get around it? Is there a way to get around it?Why don't you just download the files manually and extract the content to the location given as per install instructions? I use Joew's kcd mod manager, to "turn on" or "turn off" the mods after extracting the files. That said I don't use Vortex nor Epic Store games, so I'm no expert.
