TheRedAngelz Posted October 19, 2012 Share Posted October 19, 2012 TL;DR: Title For whatever reason, my install of New Vegas WILL crash to desktop immediately after displaying the 'Bethesda Softworks: A ZeniMax Media Company' splash screen before the main menu if the number of active mods in the load order exceeds 157. The mods that are active seem to be of no detail. I have tested many various combinations of weapons, texture packs, sound additions, quests, homes, armor, animation, sound, and world-changing mods, and the game will, without fail, crash if the combination exceeds 157 master and plugin files. (For reference, this means that the last plugin ID I can load is 9C... perhaps the ID 9D is somehow broken?) My game is patched to 1.7 and has all DLCs installed. I have tested launching from the default loader and exe, NVSE, FOMM, and NMM. All produce the same crash with the aforementioned criteria. Why is this happening? PS. Is there any way I can get the NMM to export my load order to text, so I might paste that here in case it becomes relevant? I am quite sure these crashes are not related to my load order, as I know all too well what careless orders can do to a game, but it might be necessary nonetheless... Ta! Keep it to less than 140 unless you want things to start corrupting. My game is patched to 1.7 and has all DLCs installed. You sound like a pirate. I would hope the game could handle more than that, especially when the vast majority of those mods never come NEAR each other... You sound like a pirate. My apologies. A bit of a mental lapse on my part... I have the latest patch, #7, 1.4.0.525, installed. I brain farted and rammed the two marks into one number.
