newmiller
hello, I have made armor mod, and placed textures for armor in .bsa archive (using default archive.exe from skyrim directory). On my computer mod is working using textures from bsa, so i uploaded mod to nexus. On computers of most people all work too as i can see from comments/ screenshots, but few people have problems with bsa, they have missing textures/only 1 texture for all. - reinstalling didn't help. So what did I or they wrong? is there any string in .ini files that made .bsa archives unworking? or it is something else? Please help, i tried to find topic here about that and failed, so i created this topic.
LittleBaron
I read just recently here somewhere that for some unknown reason some people's systems have trouble with the .bsa files. If I was you I would try uploading a version with loose files, just for those people for whom your mod does not seem to work with the .bsa. newmiller
with bsa it takes 250 mb, without it it takes 800+)) Ok I will think, big thanks for answer
Wasbunny
Also, double check your texture paths in Nifskope that they are not linking directly to your specific directory structure. They should all start with /textures. If you just hit the little flower link thing it will create a file structure identical to yours, not necessarily everyone else's (which I think is why it sometimes only works with loose files for some people). Firstly, BSA files get overwritten by loose files, so your mod files are less likely to get overwritten by some other mod. Secondly, it makes it easier for users to troubleshoot/delete/modify parts of your mod if they wish.
