DocMoebius
Just wanted to ask you guys which blender version you use to be able to have nifskope and the blender_nif_plugin working? I just downloaded blender 2.8 and it seems that there is not working nif_plugin available, so I wanted to ask which version you guys use/recommend? deadbeeftffn
You could use whatever blender version you want. The NIF-plugin is not Fallout 4 compatible. Maybe you can use it for Skyrim, but not for FO4.IIRC Blender 2.79 can use the latest NIF-plugin (for Skyrim).
DocMoebius
Oh ok. Because I tried to get into creating some new statics for Fallout 4 out of existing nif files and I followed the "Exporting from Blender 2.7+ to Skyrim" guide because I assumed it would be the same or at least a similar approach. I'm a little bit confused now as to how I setup up blender properly and what addons I need. Sorry for my noob questions but I wasn't able to find any documentation. langnao
There is no working Blender direct output nif as mentioned. Blender can be use to create any asset but u have to go thru outfit studio to create working FO4 nif and touch up with nifscope if needed. Static object requires collision and that itself requires 3D max to do it properly. If its not possible the next best way is to copy the collision from similar object using nifscope.
