I'd like to see some children running around Skyrim that aren't just the four flavors of fantasy-not-human (Imperial, Redguard, Breton, Nord). Elves, and perhaps most importantly, lizard and kittytykes. I feel this is sorely missing from the game.

Indeed, One would think that there would be Dark Elf, Argonian, Wood Elf, High Elf, Khajiit and Orc Children. Don't know if Bethesda is being Lazy or what.

KhajiitChild Maisha is an admirable effort, but with the default head, she really looks more like a pygmy khajiit than anything.

SO adorable.

 

I really want to see more children running around, too. Elves and Beast races are a must, along with Redguard children that are clearly Redguard. Braith is the only one I can remember, and she has the same face as... well, every other child in the game.

 

Actually, it's really irritating that every single child has the exact same face.

With the Khajiit it should be Easier to make them not look nearly the same because they have Different Fur Colors. White, Brown, Black and a few others also They have Eye Colors and Face Paint. Maybe you could use the Face Paints as a Tribal Signature.

Some work still needs to be done, imo. KhajiitChild Maisha seems to simply be a scaled-down Khajiit. You can even see the, uh, feminine curves. So a body needs to be made, undoubtedly. The face may also need to be tweaked. Features should be less pronounced, similar to humanoids. And of course that neck needs to be fixed. :P

How about something like this, for the Khajiit? I was trying for something realistic, cub-like (mountain lions seem to have the most facial features in common with the Khajiit), but keeping with the unexagerated art style of the game. The profile shot seems a bit weird... but then, every time I look at my adult Khajiit references, their profile shot looks pretty weird, too.

I make these references prior to building the 3d model (this one's the male). I figure I'll make the bodies as modifications of the existing child-meshes, so they can all wear the same clothes. With tails, for these guys, of course. :)
