I want to atleast save the face

So here I go one day wanting to add my girlfriend in game, so I download CM Partners and get to work on it, however I wanted to give her character aspects of other mods, such as rens hair. I go read how to do so, well first of Wrye Bash never worked in the first place so I downloaded TES4gecko which is failing me equally as bad. I converted Ren's hair into an ESM file since thats the only way I could put the hair on her and have it show in game, then I make Silver Dragon Armory of the Apophis a master file so she can use a few pieces of the armor. Then I merged them.

So then I load my game walk into the merchants in where I placed her. She's there, she looks great. So then I call her into the room to take a look at at and I walk out into the Market district. SURPRISE!!!!! The walls and just about everything aside from NPC's and Doors are gone from the Market district. So I disable the merged ESM and then reloaded the Autosaved File to happily realize my Companion girlfriend mod had a master file requirement that file being the esm i created that killed the trade district.

Every tool I have downloaded A.) Doesn't start even after I have fully troubleshot it in the face, wrye bash to be exact. or B.) Does not finish the process TES4Gecko has the options to clean the esp but when i use the option it decides that it'd be really fun to give me an error telling me it can't do what it's made to do.

So I have come to the conclusion that my mod is f***ed

Is there any way I can salvage the face and start over?

Hmm, I don't know how to transfer faces that easily, but for Wyre Bash did you make sure you had Python? Otherwise it won't run at all.

As for starting over you can load up your esp with the partner, DON'T set it as active. Then, find the NPC, COPY it, and save as a new ESP. This will make a perfect copy of your NPC (equipment, AI, Dialogue) and nothing else will be there (such as scripts used, esm files, and all that.) if you want to remove the dependancy on say Apophis armor or such remove those items from the NPCs inventory before copying it.

Sir this is the second time you have helped me. May I accept you as my Elder Scrolls savior?

How exactly do you save an NPC. I'm unclear on this. I'm very new to the Oblivion CS and in all honesty was very bad at the Morrowind one.

Heh, I kind of like that title. Elder Scrolls Savior. :D

Anyway, the only way to 'save' just an NPC and not have any of the scripts attatched you load up the esp with the NPC you want(but do NOT set any active file), find it in the list and right-click then choose DUPLICATE, then save and type in a new esp name. This will, in a way, 'save' your NPC to that esp without any of the scripts or dependant mods that the other one has. It works for anything else really, from worldspaces to buildings to everything else that can be duplicated. If you're still confused, let me know with a PM and I'll take a screenshot of each step to help you out. :)
