iwokojance
So, something started to go terribly wrong about 10 hours into my second character build: http://imageshack.us/a/img198/1063/savefiles.png Here is my mods list: http://imageshack.us/a/img855/2583/loadorder.png Something is terribly wrong when save file size jumps from 4,000 KB to 225,000 KB in 5 game hours. My game kept freezing up, and I now know why it is freezing up. I just don't know what would cause this ridiculous increase in file size. Any ideas on the problem here? Hellscreamy
This usually happens with script errors or invalid paths to mods that get stuck in the save file (don't ask, I don't know how that works), it has happened with the Sounds of Skyrim mod. I suggest trying to isolate the case by turning off all your mods and saving, and see if your save is still huge. You can also turn on saving logs in your Documents/My Games/Skyrim/Skyrim.ini, go to [Papyrus] and set bEnableLogging=1 under it. If you play the game, quit and see the same error popping up in the logs, you most likely found the problem. I have most of these mods active too except for:WARZONES, EagleEyePerk, Static Mesh Improvents, Skyrim Flora Overhaul, Imaginator, TRO BasicNeeds, Yaksha, dB Enhanced Blood, Ring of Nighteye, Beautiful Whiterun,Leather Backpack, Realistic Whiterun, Smarts, Asteria I think the problem lies with one of these with Warzones the most likely one as it requires a strong PC to run it. Thank you for the reply. I'll try both of these suggestions.
iwokojance
Well, checking the script logs has helped. It was indeed a scripting error. It turned out to be the Mark and Recall spell that was causing most of the problem, if not entirely. I deleted all the mark and recall script files in the data/scripts folder and the esp file, however, the log indicates that the program is still trying to reference them. Is there another location I might need to edit in order to entirely remove these script references?
