noble mage

Are there any mods that let you play the noble storyline as a mage?

I love the mage class, but want to build it into the noble origin story.

Also, on a separate topic. One other mod im looking for (http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/811261-fix-fish-face-beard-cc/)

EDIT:

So. Adopted doesn't seem to be working at all. Its showing up in the installed downloadable content section in the DAO interface, but still cant create a noble mage.

Help?

The "odd reactions" refers to the fact that since there aren't supposed to be any Dwarven Mages, (for example) some of the NPC dialogue won't quite fit if you're playing one. Doesn't effect the story though.

The "Fish Face" issue is due to incompatible, or incompletely installed facemorph mods. Something isn't right in the chargenmorphcfg.xml tables. Either there are missing entries for resources you have, or entries pointing to missing resources.

My advice is to remove ALL facemorph mods, ensure that the vanilla CC works correctly, then reinstall the ones you really want.

Good to know. I mostly want to play human mage in different origin stories.

Updated my fish face thread as I feel that will be a more ongoing topic and ill try to not hijack my own thread.

I tried this when I had only "more hairstyes installed. Nothing else.

I went back and removed ALL of my mods, so all I had was the DAO: ultimate edition from Steam.

And Still I get fish face every time I try to chance my beard in the character creator for human male.

I had the same problem on 360

EDIT:

oops. Didnt mean to post that here.

Re: "Fish Face". Did you remove the chargenmorphcfg.xml file that was created when you installed "More Hairstyles"?

(NOTE: With 1,811 Endorsements and 309,372 Unique D/Ls, and yours as the first report of a problem like this, I really don't think the mod is the issue... :whistling: )

See. This is what I mean. Im 100% new to the modding scene, and you just spoke greek to me.

I have no idea what a chargenmorphcfg.xml file is, what it does, where its found, how to remove it, or what that does.

PS:

Ya. the fish face thing is not a result of the "more hairstyles" mod. or any mod for that matter. Its a problem with the default dragon age character creator.... Im just surprised nobody has set out to resolve this. I cant be the only one who plays a human male with a beard.... come to think of it. Im surprised there are no mods that add beard options for the human either. Seems everyone plays their warden either babyfaced or dwarven.

Yes. Its less noticeable with that beard, ChinStrap and sideburns are pretty terrible. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B-SA5Itwv4fxOW4tU09SVkRqN3c/edit

It looks well enough for a profile. But when you are playing, the camera often pans directly over the shoulder with a closeup angle of where your cheakbones should be.

Why cant choose my own beard and also have a full faced warden? why does it crank all mouth and cheek options to the left and grey it out?

It gets especially bad if you have a chin strap beard, because part of your beard hovers about a half an inch away from your face!

I understand your response to be of the "so what? big deal" variety. But with the hundreds (thousands?) of mods out there to alter skin tones, tattoos, hair, moles, and just about everything else under the sun, it surprises me that nobody has thought to mod the broken beard slider.... Would that be possible? Has anyone tried? If you cant fix it because its an inherent flaw of biowares or something, im still suprised nobody has added more beard options. Id like to make me a Kal Drogo sort of look (http://media.screened.com/uploads/1/14624/520387-screenshot_game.of.thrones.s01e01.winter.is.coming.avi_2.png).

At this point, I think im just going to have to import a face someone else made with the toolset... I dont need a Drogo beard. Im fine with a normal Gotee. But I WANT CHEEKS WITH MY BEARD DAMMIT!

Seriously. This has been my greatest pet peeve in the entire game since day one, and I want it fixed. It just looks terrible to me.
