... I dont need a Drogo beard. Im fine with a normal Gotee.But I WANT CHEEKS WITH MY BEARD DAMMIT!

Seriously. This has been my greatest pet peeve in the entire game since day one, and I want it fixed. It just looks terrible to me.

Then LEARN TO MOD FOR YOURSELF. Demanding that others do the work you aren't willing to do just makes you appear immature. :armscrossed:

EDIT:

So. Adopted doesnt seem to be working at all. Its showing up in the installed downloadable content section in the DAO interface, but still cant create a noble mage.

Help?

Well, presuming you followed the instructions:

-- Configuration ---

Add the following lines to your DragonAge.ini found in Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings:

[xatmos]

=ForceOrigin=DalishElf

=ForceOrigin=CityElf

=ForceOrigin=ElfMage

=ForceOrigin=HumanNoble

=ForceOrigin=HumanMage

=ForceOrigin=DwarfNoble

=ForceOrigin=DwarfCommoner

=ForceClass=Rogue

=ForceClass=Warrior

=ForceClass=Wizard

Then "uncomment" the lines for your desired origin and class (remove the equal sign at the start).

i.e. To play a Dwarf Mage and start in the Circle:

[xatmos]

=ForceOrigin=DalishElf

=ForceOrigin=CityElf

=ForceOrigin=ElfMage

=ForceOrigin=HumanNoble

ForceOrigin=HumanMage

=ForceOrigin=DwarfNoble

=ForceOrigin=DwarfCommoner

=ForceClass=Rogue

=ForceClass=Warrior

ForceClass=Wizard

Then create (or import) your character (a dwarf for this example) as you normally would, choose any class, background, skills, etc.

You will be respecced automatically once you get in the game if you force a class other than the one you choose during chargen (as long as you don't click Quickstart).

Optionally, you can uninstall the mod at this point.

Are you trying to play the Mage Origin (start in the Circle) as a Human Noble, or the Human Noble Origin (start at Castle Cousland) as a Mage?

I think you overestimated the seriousness of my tone. I never demanded anything from anyone. Those are your words and interpretations, not mine. I was simply expressing my surprise that the desire for this fix wasnt expressed before.

On a similar note, why are we talking about this here at all. At the beginning of this thread I linked to a thread on this topic I created in the "dragon age mod requests"... Im sorry if you dont like my tone, but if the attitude of the staff is "LEARN TO MOD FOR YOURSELF. Demanding that others do the work you aren't willing to do just makes you appear immature. :armscrossed:", then there really shouldn't be a "dragon age mod requests" forum at all... But I suspect the problem is more the way you interpreted my tone. I doubt im the first to express frustration with a bioware bug that hasnt been fixed, and I would hope not all who do are told to fix it themselves...

noble origin, mage class.

And ya, I followed those instructions. I put the following at the end in my dragonage.ini

=ForceOrigin=DalishElf

=ForceOrigin=CityElf

=ForceOrigin=ElfMage

ForceOrigin=HumanNoble

=ForceOrigin=HumanMage

=ForceOrigin=DwarfNoble

=ForceOrigin=DwarfCommoner

=ForceClass=Rogue

=ForceClass=Warrior

ForceClass=Wizard

and it still put me in the circle tower/fade.

EDIT:

I just realized I didnt put "[xatmos]" in front of it.... lets try that out.

EDIT:

Yep. That did it. Thanks for your help... Would a Human mage starting with a dalish origin look like this:

[xatmos]

ForceOrigin=DalishElf

=ForceOrigin=CityElf

=ForceOrigin=ElfMage

=ForceOrigin=HumanNoble

=ForceOrigin=HumanMage

=ForceOrigin=DwarfNoble

=ForceOrigin=DwarfCommoner

=ForceClass=Rogue

=ForceClass=Warrior

ForceClass=Wizard

?

I assume the race you choose in the CC doesnt get overwritten then, only the class and origin.... Though I think I would perfer to keep race consistant with origin. Playing as a human in the dalish origin or a elf in the dwarven origin would break immersion too much for me I think. I just wanted to play a secrete apostate who escaped the tower through various means that can be fun to imagine.

Hi,

Maybe this helps:

Makara has played the Cousland origin with a mage. You could write him a pm, he is a really nice guy and I think he will explain you how to edit the files : Noble Mage

Sorry in advance, If I have misunderstood your question, I was a bit distracted by the " right ton discussion":)
