Play with Controller plus Movement Grid

Would this be feasible? I now most of the modding so far consist of exe and ini changes. Due to a physical disability controllers are much easier then mouse and keyboard and I do miss out on the grid. It's really handy to make sure you don't move on the wrong side of cover. Edited by skyhopper88

I looked for this myself after reading the topic. Couldn't find it.

However, there are things you can do with the controller that you can't do with the cursor+grid. For example if for some reason you want to move in between squares you can do that with the controller but not with cursor+grid. Or if you won't to move right next to cover but for some reason not want to be in cover you can do that with a controller but not with cursor+grid.

So yeah while it would kind of be nice in a nostalgic sense the controller really is better.

Cool. Now that you say that about the half moves I did notice that. Come to think of it, It's not necessarily the grid I want, but with a mouse it shows a hologram thing of your squad member instead of that circle. That's actually what I want most of all really.

I'm not entirely looking for controller support, but persistant gridlines is something I've been looking for also, even outside of movement zones (areas in fog of war doesn't really matter because you can't see enemies there anyways). The reason for it is it makes it easier to line up yor target to get to the closest possible location to them for higher accuracy; just that one square off where you miscalculated their placement can impair your accuracy if far enough away. It can also help you determine where you need to be to be able to clear whatever cover your enemies are using for a successful flank.

I suppose an optional overhead view of the map (with the viewpoint directly above the battlefield rather than at an angle) would work just as well if it wasn't diagonally rotated, but gridlines would still make it easier to line up your targets even in this mode.
