AlphaKitsune
For many of the mods on Nexus, there is of course the manual way of downloading and installing, but you can also choose to download it via Vortex. What I'm really asking here is what method is the least resource intensive. My system runs the game alright if I skip out on the fancy graphics, but I'm thinking I can do better. Infamous95
I've never played Monster Hunter nor modded it but from my experience with modding other games they both have the same outcome only installing via vortex allows for easier uninstall in most cases. The other thing is what kind of files they are. For Fallout 4 theres both normal loose files that have been the main method for mods forever or the new ba2 packed files Bethesda created. Ba2's are better for performance because they compress the files. Of course that only applies to Fallout 4 (and maybe SSE?). So what Im getting at is if theres a compression method for that game I would learn how to do that. If loose files are your only option then just install how you want. One other thing about mods is using script heavy mods will have an effect on performance so if thats your main concern avoid scripts where possible.
