fallenangel626
i know there are probably dozens of threads on this. hopefully someone can help...i recently made the jump from CBBE to UNP. i LOVE the UNP bodies and the skin texture i got for it looks amazing. normally there is the usually neck seam problem and my game is no exception. my characters isn't so noticeable, but characters like the high elf in the winterhold college are extremely noticeable... with a very purple face and a yellowish green body. I ignored it for a while, and looked into fixes, but i cant find any reliable fixes. what do you all recommend? one fix said i needed the UNP neck seem psd file, but i cant get a link for it anywhere and i have very little experience playing with textures in the first place. blitzen
Bring up the console and select one of the discolored NPCs, and type something like "setnpcweight 10" and see if it resets it back to normal. Or you can type "resurrect", but that's a little more drastic. This problem tends to surface when making changes to races, installing new bodies, cosmetic mods, etc. Not sure how to fix it en masse. It may only occur for NPC's in cells that you have visited. I never bothered to see if resetting the cells fixes it. And there are plenty of discussions about this problem on this site, so finding those might be more useful than waiting for people to respond. AnkhAscendant
You actually have to click on them so that a number appear at the top of the dark console area.
blitzen
You have to bring the console up, then use the mouse pointer to select them. Make sure you don't select a blade of grass or a rock by mistake, or attempt to use resurrect if the ID you see is 00000014. Best to do this in first person standing close to the object you want to select, or you may actually be selecting something or someone else. I would save just before you do this until you feel comfortable with it.
fallenangel626
i got that command to work but it doesn't really work. it only fixes them for a short time. is there a way to blend it in that someone can explain in detail for me? I posted this guide a while back, you'll find it in this thread. Hope it helps. Step (15) in my guide my not be required, because something was changed in update 1.6. I suggest only doing (15) if all else fails. Edited October 25, 2012 by Fulcrum2
