It is possible to create a mod that would make the game more challenging?

I mean mod that would decrease amount of loot everywhere, would raise skillchecks in dialogues and would make combat more balanced. Is it possible to create such mod? If so, would it take a lot of time to create it? I think if I should stop playing Outer Worlds to wait for some mode that would make the game more harder and more interesting.

I would also like to see something like this, but I think, that it is not going to happen any time soon.

That's why, this game is being "shelfed" for 3-6 months presumably, like all 3 previous Obsidian games...

Glad I get it with MS store for 1$, cause I would be pissed, to not to enjoy Obsidian game, once again, directly after release.

I thought that under Private Division it would be somehow different... I will definitely know better before next Obsidian game.

Never buy it on release.

There's a mod released today that seems to make the game much more difficult. Check out the new mods page.

Thats a start here, but I would rather go with regular mod and not a save game.

I would also like to not gimp my conversation stats, since those are important to me also.

Furthermore it would be best combined with loot decrease and couple of other things that would make a combat much better.

This is obviously the most wanted and actually most NEEDED mod so far! The game is so heavily immersion-wise broken without this.

Dozens of crates with dozens of items all around at every single corner makes you spoiled very early in the game with nothing actually valuable to seek. No joy in finding anything, you soon enough don't even look at what you're taking you just keep mashing Take All the whole game, breaking down everything and moving to junk. This is supposed to be fun???

This game makes its hundreds of items invaluable junk found just about anywhere in abundant quantities. Sorry but having 140x ammo ten minutes in the game just makes ammo totally obsolete. Never in the game you 're actually forced not even once to use any melee weapon at all. That's just completely wrong game design.

WE NEED A MOD

not ini tweaks or reshade so-called mods

that will drastically lower the amounts of ammo and items and crates at places where it makes not even a slightest logical sense to be.

- a mod that will make you value the ammo and other items

- a mod that will make you run out of ammo and switch to melee for a while if you don't use melee wisely in between time to time to conserve ammo

- a mod that will make you seek for hidden crates to find items which are not redundant anywhere nearby

- a mod that will make you actually want to buy something from vendors - for example ammo

- a mod that will make use of the pointless "ammo perk"

- a mod that will properly address this whole immersion-breaking disbalance

There is no point of asking modding this game is simply impossible. Ask Obsidian to make a modkit or else the game will never receive proper mods.
