Daiyus
Hey all. I'm a relatively new modder, and I'm having trouble with the Creation Kit from square one it seems. I've trawled Google and the Creation Kit Wiki to no avail. For my first mod I simply wanted to create a Patch for two of my favourite mods; Ars Metallica, and Morrowind Armors for Skyrim. It's a simple case of editing a couple of crafting recipes from MAfS to use some of the items added by Ars Metallica. Simple I thought. Wrong. I loaded up Skyrim.esm, Update.esm, Morrowind Armors.esp, and Ars Metallica.esp. However, whenever I save the file it only has Skyrim.esm and Update.esm as parent files. I know it's possible to have a dependency on an .esp because Ars Metallioca has a Dawnguard Patch that depends on the original file. Any time I load the file it spews loads of "duplicate" issues at me, rather than editing the original mod. Somebody please help. I thought this would be such a simple place to start modding, and I really don't know what I can do to resolve this problem.
AnkhAscendant
The easiest way to do it with with Wrye *ash. With that you can select your .esp and there's a window over on the right where you can edit masters. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1840
Daiyus
Thank you. I had a glance at Wrye Bash, but I'll take a closer look.
