Piccolo17
I recently decided to get back into Skyrim when needing something to pass some time in the evenings. While browsing around youtube videos I came across a few channels that showed good mod lists and decided to try one of the lists out. I took the time to follow all the steps installing in order from ESO's ultimate immersion mod list https://eso-ui.com/skyrim-se-high-end/ I added in a few mods I had found as well for some variety in my game play options. I installed everything possible using Vortex and followed that up by checking it over with Loot. Aside from a few duplications everything comes back clean. my most list is 0 0 Skyrim.esm 1 1 Update.esm 2 2 Dawnguard.esm 3 3 HearthFires.esm 4 4 Dragonborn.esm 5 5 Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Waves.esp Everything has run perfectly when staring a new character but when I walked into Riverwood I suddenly had glowing red lights coming on screen from multiple angles. I went back and cleared out any of the duplicate mods that Loot had flagged as well as removed a few from the list above that had to do with lighting issues just as the Lantern mods. I started another fresh game and thought the problem was solved until I went into Riverwood the 2nd time on this character after clearing some quests out. The lights were back. They appear to come from just about any surface be it in sky or on the ground or a wall. If I turn my camera even just a little to the sides I can make them vanish but they are common enough that they make Riverwood really not worth trying to navigate. I am working on getting a screenshot uploaded with the error but all my pictures are too large currently.
Grospolina
Try moving T'Skyrim Riverwood.esp under JKs Skyrim.esp. If LOOT didn't catch this, then it would be best to add your own rule in LOOT: Edit the metadata for T'Skyrim Riverwood.esp. Set "After" to "JKs Skyrim.esp" and save. Piccolo17
Set the new rule in Loot, tried my existing game as well as fresh new game and both had the same red glaring lights issues still.
Grospolina
You could always post your screenshots on imgur.com and paste the link here. Are you sure it's a red light? Could it be a red diamond with a white exclamation mark? For example: https://i.imgur.com/u4bOXsl.png
Piccolo17
https://imgur.com/xca2cCA https://imgur.com/eeVqzB9 Took a few days to get his posted, been a busy week of work and I took the time to sit down the run my entire mod install back clean using Mod Organizer 2, made sure everything was error free with Loot. Started a fresh game last night and it looked good, Came back to my game tonight to really have time to sit and play and immediately on load in I get the same error. Grospolina
Hmm, fake lights (a.k.a. FXGlow) or light sprites maybe? Are you using DynDOLOD? If you are, then I'd disable "Fake lights selected world" and re-generate. That's probably not it though, since fake lights disappear when you get close to them. If it's a mesh, then you could try installing More Informative Console. If you then go into the console (~) and click the glowing ball, it should tell you what mod it comes from, as well as the last mod to change it. You can also type "disable" to just get rid of it, assuming that it really is a mesh. If you disable it, then it should stay that way if you save and reload. Piccolo17
I tried to get the information from a couple of the sources of light https://imgur.com/wJSDLrn https://imgur.com/9N4ot2b I am not really sure what mod that is telling me to look at. Grospolina
They're not meshes then. One is a cloud and the other one is a stone wall. It's showing the meshes that are behind the lights. So I found these threads that appear to have the same problem: Strange glowing balls, help pleaseSuper Bright Lighting Glitch in Riverwood They say that they are bad shaders and they're caused by a missing patch from JK's Skyrim. They didn't say which one exactly, but it's probably JK's Skyrim No Lights Patch. You may want some of the other ones on that page too, like the ones for Cutting Room Floor (Arthmoor's Patch Pack), Realistic Water Two and Skyrim 3D Trees. Also, the first thread explicitly mentions ESO's Ultimate Immersion, and said that it was R's Farmhouse and Handcarts - Compatibility Patch. Piccolo17
thanks for the help, the patch for R's Farmhouse and Handcarts solved the issue. I found that funny because on some of the installs I didn't use the handcarts mod as I don't like it removing the carts that had actual loot as well as a surface to be able to climb or fight off of.
