I'm making a lore-extending mod with the goal to add a lot more science to the magic of Oblivion. The models I need are Aylied objects that look functional, but still as old as any Ayleid ruin. Here is a description of the objects, taken out of some books made to be in the mod: "It had a way in for magic, as well as a way out that was closable. I dared not try to examine it without keeping it open. The interiors of the machine was made of two spirals. An inner spiral and an outer spiral. The openings were both at the top of this large cylinder-shaped object. The closeable one could let magic energy in and out, but the other one was a one-way opening. The two spirals were connected and they created a system that magic could circle through." "We examined the equipment more closely, and discovered powerful enchantments for leading away the heat to a channel beneath it. Since the channel was impossible to find with magic, it had evaded my initial examination. We found out that that water was brought there, heated up, and then brought out. I had a skilled architect to fix a way for the water to go down into a pipe leading down deep into the ground and we dug it away from the house with magic." "I noticed a small button on the focus cylinder, as we called the equipment piece, and I pressed it. A small piece of the side slid away and revealed a place that could perfectly fit two welkrynd stones and a varla stone. One welkrynd stone was already there." "I tried to heat the air inside the focus cylinder and managed to try the enchantment. Apparently it needed help to function properly. I inserted another welkrynd stone and a varla stone and then tried heating it again. It worked better this time. We wrote down all our accomplishments so far in case we died, and then tried the focus cylinder. We closed the closable opening and prepared the experiment. We channeled in the raw energy but quickly stopped when the enchantment increased it. Soon it both spirals and it started to improve in heat. We noticed that water was flowing quickly through the pipes and soon a fountain of boiling water erupted a couple of hundred feet away. Amazing!" "It was night time when whe decided to open the closable opening. One of us, the one opening, was using a candle to light up. Shortly after it had opened an explosion came around the candle. The mage barely survived, but we managed to heal him. We cleared it up, finding water inside the spirals. Then we tried again. We examined the outcome and found no water, but when we stepped back and cast a fire spell, causing another explosion barely two feet from us, we found water everywhere." "After the results we got in the earlier tests we went on to a similar machine. It was larger than the focus cylinder (se book 2) but inside the very function remained the same. We noticed that there was two spirals for magicka in it and a lot of water pipes for heating up. It had been connected with another machine and we put them together again. It seems that this was not an experimental machine. A Dunmer colleague of mine who had made research on Dwemer ruins recognized the second machine's structural buildup. Apparently it was a very similar thing to a Dwemer contraption called a 'steam engine'. He told us that they work by boiling water and sending it through pipes and such. He recognized some of the pipes and other parts. We installed the machines in a new building and tried them. The larger focus cylinder had a third hole here that we connected to the steam engine. When we lit the hydrogen after the creation it started the steam engine. The steam machine worked very well. After several tests and examining the machines we could note our results." I would like to create a team and work with this mod. The rest of the books, the concept for the mod and some other things will be revealed only to the others of the team (to prevent anyone from stealing the idea). All who help will be given credit for their work, and the mod will be published under the team name. Personally I will aid with scripting, concept, testing, interior construction (if need be) and possibly lore research. I cannot make meshes, since I don't have the right programs.
