anjenthedog
I have had an issue since I started playing Skyrim where the mouse in game either shares or loses focus to windows, as evidenced by scrolling in-game, translating to scroll movement outside the game (topmost document or webpage will scroll if I scroll in game using the mouse..not "all" the time, but most of the time, probably 80-90% of the time). In addition, I found a new related behavior ... a couple nights ago, the windows mouse pointer and game pointer were both on screen (a symptom I'd never seen in this game before). That's not just annoying, that's potentially dangerous. This isn't one of those windows takes control things like virus scanners or whatever, it's just a persistent, continuous behavior. Nothing is interrupting the game. System is locked down so other apps don't interfere. Is there some sort of software fix or patch I need to install or some registry setting I need to adjust or add in order to stop Skyrim from being so "loosey goosey" with pointer/mouse management?
