pmalacha
Hi guys Just a quick question - I am planning to create a pack of Skyrim themed wallpapers (made of processed screenshot I took in game) and upload the pack on Nexus for people to download and enjoy. Should I include Bethesda's logo on them for legal reasons? Or maybe I shouldn't for the very same reasons? :) Appreciate an advice, as I'm not quite sure and I could not find an answer online... TIA!
cyrus224
You do not require a Bethesda logo. There are many laws protecting artists, and making wallpapers is not something that would require you to give credit or copyright info about its content. ProjectVRD
You might want to consider putting in the logo on some of them if it suits the image, for instance: http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/3455973-1335211640.jpghttp://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/3455973-1335979787.jpghttp://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/3455973-1334412302.jpg Others, you may find are best suited without any logo or the Skyrim wording. You will know yourself which ones require the text and logo, they will just feel right to you. Look forward to seeing the fruits of your efforts. :)
kalamadae
It is not something that is required of such fanart but the choice is up to you. There is a bonus of putting the logo on, it helps to advertise the creators of the game. More publicity, more players... usually.
