SpeedyB64
Whenever I made an oblivion mod with meshes or textures I packed them into a .bsa file. It surprises me how many good Oblivion moders even to this day are too lazy to pack their files. I love .bsa files <3 makes installing a mod as simple as tossing the files into the data directory. BTW does anyone know how to do this for Fallout (I refuse to release another mod until I can)
gnejs420
I agree with the topic, but not with the suggested layouts so far. The layout I use and like is this: Data\Data\my_mod.espData\my_mod.README.txtData\meshes\...Data\textures\......and so on... Nothing could be simpler, just tell people to unpack it in the game folder. I believe including the Data folder has some advantages if you want it to be a 'standard'because some modders might for some reason want to place things up in the game folder too,and this layout allows that.
