Need to find Low Res Textures

Hello everyone,

 

I've been happily playing Skyrim for about a year now.

My laptop is weak, equipped with an i3 processor w/ integrated graphics, so in order to play Skyrim, I need to change out the textures of Skyrim with low-res versions.

This plan works wonderfully. With the low-res textures, even my clunky PC has very little trouble running the game. (Within reason...)

 

Now, I really would like to get Hearthfire and Dawnguard. I've wanted to for awhile.

But, I can't do that without first getting a low-res texture pack that includes textures for these expansions.

 

I've been searching for them, but I can't find them.

 

So, does anyone know where I can find a low res texture pack for Hearthfire and Dawnguard expansions of Skyrim.

If not, would it be possible for someone to make one?

 

I'm sure I'm not the only one with this sort of problem.

 

Any help you can offer me would be most appreciated!

Well there is a laughably low texture pack for vanilla, dont think there is any for hearthfire or dawnguard.

I can at least do retextures, I could churn some terribad texture resizes out for hearthfire but I dont have dawnguard... so I dont have the texture files.

There I shrunk Hearthfire textures, unless I get my hands on Dawnguard (maybe next month if the credit card company is nice) this is it for me.

I really want reduced textures for dawnguard too :( I can play it, but it's pretty laggy. I use this for the main game stuff and it works great:

Now all that's left are the ones for Dawnguard.

Did you try HiAlgo boost? Look for it in the files of the months.

It dynamically changes resolution, so if parts of the game are very demanding you will get lower screen resolution (not texture resolution!) but when nothing much happens the game runs on high resolution.

I'm gaming on my eeePC when away from home and I got quite the performance boost. The screen does look pixelated sometimes though due to low resolution. But only for a split second. Your milage may vary. ;)
