All being well, it should be good to go when the Mod Manager is released. It's got a minor bug at the start which I haven't been able to fix, but after that it seems fine.

It's in a upk with other changes at the moment, so I'll need to find the relevant cam changes and make note of the values etc. I stopped keeping track after 99% of the things I tried, didn't work lol.

Once I know the format that the Mod Manager expects, I'll put it all together :)

i finally am making progress, heheh ( able to get the camera to zoom in and out further and closer than before)

This is a rather specific issue, but if you're using a gamepad to control the game on a PC (possibly also on consoles?), the camera for grenades is just terrible. It needs to be zoomed out more, because it's often quite difficult to tell whether an enemy at the far edge of the blast radius will actually be hit.

(As a side note, it would also be nice it there was a way to make it easier to tell if enemies are included in the blast radius of grenades and rockets. This is particularly a problem with airborne enemies. Something as simple as highlighting enemies that are within the sphere would be a nice way to go. Things like this make me wonder if 3-D gaming displays might actually have some use in the future.)

One great addition to this mod would be to stop the camera from automatically centering on selected unit.

There is a button already in the bindings which lets you do the centering manually...

TBH I find it annoying when camera moves between my snipers and units across half the map.

I have been looking thru the files to find this code, but no luck so far... Do you have any idea where it might be?

I've currently made it so that it stops zooming in/out when switching units, but not the recentering issue.

There were a few different places that I modified in the upk, so I will have to hunt down which functions. I'll look into adding this feature for when I release the mod :)

I've decided to make it standalone so that it doesn't need to rely on XCom Mod Manager.

It's uploaded to the files section.

I've tested it and it seems to work fine for me, so let me know either way if it works for you or not :)

Don't forget to read the ReadMe.

It'd probably be better to report bugs and other suggestions in the link below instead of this thread.

Hope you find it useful :)
