OH.MY.GOD!

 

I cannot believe this! I just discovered the mod that was causing my crashing. The reason I was having this problem was caused by the mod that apparently had the function to stop crashing. CRASH FIXES was actually my game crash, or at least, the combination of crash fixes with another unknown ep caused it. I played with my normal 182 eps, and suddenly I enable crash fixes and my game crashes like it did before. Now, I gotta run more test with the new save games if I encounter any crash as I progress (I hope not)

 

I decided to deactivate crash fixes and any other ctd fix mod in my old save game and yes it opened, but then again, when I open menus my game crashes. Then there is a second problem there. No idea what it is, but I already gave up and I'll just start the new playthrough in the new game. Anyways, sometimes it's fun to start over.

out of all of those mods? there are some menu related ones, reinstall them overwrote of existing ones.

IF the menu items are failing? it may be due t a bad install or an overwrite from another or "MCM" has been corrupted.

 

It takes so very little to screw up the data flow, even a bad mesh file, a texture, an object injected that is not compatible, a bad scripts Literally anything.

 

you can have 5 mods, all touching the same objects but doing different things to those objects, each encapsulation or variation contains their perspective instructions with that file structure where another of the five changes those structures and will cause faults, lock up's or freezing, lack of the ability to save the game file.

 

It just does NOT take much at all to create HAVOK in these games. well meaning attempts to repair things that should NOT be touched, appear to be at fault may not be in fact at fault, scripted events that touch data that a fixit mod has messed with will fail the data flow.

 

A spawn point if the area is touched / moved / deleted / set disabled / or just plan turned off will crash the game.

Hello thanks for asnwering! But I am so frustrated because my game now crashes when getting near Falkreath!!! And I can't enable crash fixes or any other fix this because my game will just crash! (talking about new game now). What can i do!!??

2. House mod
3. NPC mod

all in that area may be in conflict or has been overwritten with bad code.

NVM where is Falkreath!!! on the map from center ingame?

Got it ,I used your first saved game file, what i found in that one is all the NPC's are stiff as boards and missing heads.

This current save just shuts down the game cold. Still working on the code a bit.

Remember of the first saved games I sent you? The one that I could open without problem? Is there a way for you to open it and tell me which esps were active in that moment? That way, I can compare the "stable, non corrupted" load order vs the one I have now?
