charwo
Hey, after playing New Vegas, I really, really have come to conclusion the most useful mod there could possibly be is an autoloot mod: a mod that passes an hour or two or three in an unpopulated interior cell and and takes everything that can be picked up and stored to inventory, including quest items and notes is stored in your inventory. Manually picking up everything is a drag and a half. It's real bad with DC Interiors. Is there a rebreather mod for FO3? Doesn't have to be the New Vegas one, just a device that allows underwater breathing. And anything that adds foods like the ones from Vegas? Cause that would be awesome! Manually picking up everything is a drag and a half. It's real bad with DC Interiors. That would sort of kill the experience and immersion of the game world. Also, wouldn't that sort of be... I dunno, boring? I mean, I agree that it takes a lot of time to explore, search, and gather, but that's the point isn't it? There's no contest, it's just a casual entertainment experience. That's why gaming is a "PASTIME. You don't HAVE to play these games you know. Try non-RPG FPS games that don't have such a complex item collection system. Not trying to be rude, just trying to understand your viewpoint. Is there a rebreather mod for FO3? Doesn't have to be the New Vegas one, just a device that allows underwater breathing.I believe there are a few PERK mods that give the player gills or some form of underwater breathing. Can't recall which mod has those though. And anything that adds foods like the ones from Vegas? Cause that would be awesome! Not sure how similar they are to FNV (haven't played it yet), but I know of two mods that add extra food items; one called FALLOUT FOOD and another called LUALA'S MORE FOOD - but they may not be compatible with FWE or Remastered. charwo
OK, as to the looting thing, it's not that's I'm a first person shooter by any means. In actuality, I am running a head mod (my term for playing the game with different rules that I lack the real world skills to make an actual plugin mod, so I play as if I were with crutches from console command) where my Lone Wanderer (and her twin) are running a salvage company, having lost real hope of finding their father. In this version of play, they are systemically salvaging all useful things in Washington DC, which requires them to enter buses (busworld) break into boarded up homes (DC Interiors), eliminate the raiders that plague the caravan routes and loot cars, eventually with the hope of being able o strip them and melt them down (scavenger world). There's a lot of heavy fighting going on to be sure, but I've actually taken down the respawn rate to once a year in FWE to simulate a quiet an peace descending on the Wasteland where the decent people of the Wastes can breathe a bit and take it easy....until the Supermutants regroup and raiders from out of the region see a power vacuum. So while there's fighting, my goal is not fighting itself. There's too much, far, FAR too much combat in vanilla Fallout. My goal is to create an atmosphere of rebuilding, and for my LW, her goal is to amass enough wealth to dominate the Capital Regions economy and fund rebuilding projects (once my mod skills are there, I want to build a banking mod, and a mod to reconnect most of the DC subway system, allowing travelers in theory to walk in complete safety from Tenpenny Tower to Rivet City). The auto loot is supposed to take the tedium out of doing this. And even should I not want to use it in hat way, it would help to have a mod that makes sure I and my LW and her crew don't miss things knocked off tables or missed containers or thins like that. But there has to b some rebreather like mod. I may have to build one myself, although the New Vegas mesh and texture are verbotten...
