Arfue bLood tie's side quest

I have completed the side quest given to me by lucy west in the saloon in megaton called Blood Ties. I completed this task using speach and carisma 2 convince ian west to go home to arfu! i also negotiated with vance to protect arfu in exchange for blood packs! however when i returned to arfu after doing some other it's inhabitants tret me as a hostile and evan king and ian west attaked me. allen from vances faction was also there attaking me!

 

Any one have any idea what triggerewd the hostility??

 

Anyone completed the quest with a good/neutral character with more sucsess??

 

Also to all the haters who are picking faults in this game, WTF?? The amount of times this game has left me gobsmaked is phenominal! i am an origional fan of the fallout series (altho i played fallout 2 first). The world bethesda have created is a work of art, and the moral decisions it forces you to make are so rich and well thought out that i can't help feeling that people who dislike this game arn't playing it is it was intended to be played!

The first time i did that quest i was on my way to the Wests shack to check on them when the game gave me a message saying that i was considered hostile to the residents of Arfu .When i turned i saw a deathclaw attacking a resident.I killed him and the residents started shooting at me so i killed them and when i went to find Evan he was dead where he generally stands.It seems that when the deathclaw killed him it was somehow lol my fault.I loaded my save and was able to complete it.Tho i made damn sure nothing followed me up to Arfu that time lol.

So did you happen to notice a body of someone that YOU didn't kill in Arfu when you returned?

Also i was a good character.

Ahh, Alan from the family was there and he was fighting evan king when i showed up! That explains it! i've done too0 much since then 2 revert to an old save but killing the residents of arfue hasn't damaged my karma score even to the point where i become neutral so i'm not 2 worried.

I had this problem on 2 occasions, one a bad character so i really didnt care less, in fact i made a video of me slaughtering what remained of the town with clover on xfire, but the time i was on a good character i didnt quite understand... i took out the family, was kind to the kid and got back before he did and as soon as i fast traveled there that damned message came up, i just ran away and sniped them all for satisfaction, before reloading and continuing on my righteous path.
