IanEG
Skyrim has been updated to 1.8.151. Is this a new beta patch or the official 1.8 release?
Archey6
Mine updated too, I'm opting out of the beta to see if it's the official release. Nope, still not released, looks like we'll have to wait for SKSE to update. Edited October 24, 2012 by archeyreece

Unresolved
How long does it usually take for skse to update? I've only started playing Skyrim again a few days ago, so I'm really out of the loop. And is it possible to go back to the previous version of Skyrim? And is it possible to go back to the previous version of Skyrim? It is possible to go back to nonbeta Skyrim. I just did it by mistake. First I activated Steam Beta, then it redownloaded Skyrim and I tried to start it. SKSE said I need new update for Skyrim.... And I was like.... "wut?" And then I read the fine print that I can only have one beta, so I activated Skyrim Beta and non beta Steam downloaded Skyrim again and then SKSE said that now I have too new version... And I was like "oh man, this is going well."
VoteByGaming
SKSE can be updated quickly (a few hours) or slowly (a few days or more). Sometimes the changes in the EXE are massive and they must look through everything to find everything, which can take some time. Patience is not one of my virtues... but I'm trying. Just checked: If you opt-out from the beta in Steam the game will be reverted to the latest release-version, so you can always play the game using the SKSE version for the latest release-version. Don't know how it affects your savegames from the beta-version though... I think I'll wait for SKSE to update, just to be sure. Skyrim is bugged enough already, don't want to risk adding to the troubles by being impatient. Had to try anyway: Got a CTD loading a 1.8.145 savegame after reverting Skyrim back to 1.7, so I'll have no choice to wait for the SKSE update or loose my progress made with the beta :ohdear: Edited October 24, 2012 by Laurens1975
Unresolved
Heh, thanks for the answers. I guess I'm not going to try reverting back to a different patch since I don't want to risk messing up my save. I'll just play without SKSE enabled for now since the only mod that requires it for me is SkyUI. And for some reason, the interfaces still work fine, even without SKSE.
