Hi,sorry to bother you,but i'd like to know the right steps to do in order to enable 2 mods at the same time.

I'd like to use:

- Warspace Extension

- XCOM classic balance and ufo mod.

So far i wasn't able to let them work at the same time, these are the steps i did:

- Placed the files from the 1st mod into the XCOM.exe directory and i run the modpatcher.exe

- Then i placed the ones from the 2nd mod and did the same but none of them worked,i build the arch weapon but i cannot put it in the pistol slot,so....

Waiting for help,thanks in advance.

First, I'm not sure whether running two rebalancing mods at the same time is viable. They may conflict, with gods know what results.

Now, to run a modded copy of XCOM, you'll need to do one (no need to do all) of these three things, organized in order of easiest to hardest.

Run Steam in Offline mode.

Find the .ini file talked about here, and delete all but the first line.

Use a software firewall to block XComGame.exe from accessing the internet.

A Mod Manager is currently in the works which I think might support multiple mods at the same time, although perhaps not the initial release.

Also, it might only be for modified .upk mods, not changes to the exe using modpatcher. There was talk of that as well though, but not sure if that's still going ahead.

I wrote an alternative to modpatcher for exactly this reason: using two mods at the same time. It's posted here: http://xcom.nexusmods.com/mods/51/

However, before you will be able to combine mods, either you or those mods' authors will have to convert them into a slightly different format (so they only include the settings they change, instead of overwriting the entire INI). In order to do it yourself you'll have to understand how to run programs from the command prompt; I'm working on adding a visual interface for xcominipatcher, but it'll be awhile before that's ready.
