XG08Zero
I'm sure you read tons of these generic "I want to start modding - how do I do it?" topics and most of them are created by little kids with a retarded attention span but I don't fit into that category. I have some programming experience, starting college this year, and I'm finding myself with loads of free time. I've over-played oblivion to the point where merely playing the game is a massive bore to me. Any attempts to play the game make me frustrated at the tiresome combat mechanics and while mods like Deadly Reflex help to enhance, they aren't what I'm looking for. I've played the construction set a bit, but not much other than editing stats on already created/modded weapons/armor. I looked around on the constructionset wiki and around the construction set itself but I can't seem to find much based around the combat itself. Are there different tools used to modify different aspects of the combat gameplay? Some specific things I'm looking for to play around with...- Where is the damage calculation? (modifying the blade skill to damage multiplier for example)- What makes actors stumble when hit (modifying the chance of this)- What makes actors fall on the ground? (modifying how often or easily this happens) Where in the construction set can I find these things to play around with and mod, or what tools should I be using? I can't seem to find much in the construction set but maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places - and I can't find any tutorials on this topic on the CSWiki. ihateregisteringeverywhere
I think that stumbling and falling's hardcoded. As far as the damage calculation goes... I'm not sure, I think I saw a few mods that changed the outcomes of theese calculations somehow, but this stuff sounds.. awesomely advanced to me.
