FlyingFly101
So the quick-draw from the consoles doesn't seem to work properly on PC (you can only hold draw -LMB - until the very end, while on consoles you could release the draw quickly, making it pointless). But even besides that, that quick-draw and dead-eye seem almost like cheat modes, making combat too easy. So for people who prefer free-aim and regular mouse and keyboard controls, you can do a manual draw, by basically having your revolver holstered, and then clicking RMB and LMB quickly to draw and aim the gun. The problem with this is that since RMB focuses on people for conversations, it also centers your aim when you draw the gun on the closest person, being like a mini-auto-aim assist. Which ruins the point of doing things manualy and having fun developing aiming/shooting skills, etc. Alternately, you can also do the above by clicking Tab to draw and then quickly clicking RMB to aim, which gets rid of aim assist, but since this is like 2 separate moves, a lot of times it gets interrupted in the middle (if framerate goes down or enemy does something special), kinda ruining the animation and timing. So I was wondering if someone could come up with a way to do a simple quick-draw manually without any aim assist, in a smoot motion and easy control. I don't know exactly how to do this, but some potential ways might be: - add a short delay to RMB focus on NPCs, maybe a second or so, so that if you quickly hit RMB > LMB, the gun would be drawn without focus assist- remove the aim/focus from conversations and interactions altogether, since it's almost like an annoying feature in the first place. Maybe just have the interactions/convo options work if you are looking at the object being interacted with, without the need to also aim.- separate the general interaction aim from the combat aim. The former could be assigned to another key, say F or E, and RMB could remain the combat aim, and not have to focus on anything. I know this is a pretty hefty request, but what's the Wild West without some proper quick-drawing action? Right now, the PC version doesn't have this at all, but even if they ever fix it from consoles, the Dead Eye quick-draw is boring and cheesy, while this change that I am asking for above would make it skillful and interesting.
