Loot not finding any dirty edits on fresh install of Skyrim SE?

Hi community.

I was just wondering if i should auto-clean all the esm files as i'm used to with Skyrim Legendary edition, Even if LOOT are not finding any??.

Normally it's the update and the 3 dlc's esm files that needs cleaning from the get go, But for some reason LOOT is not finding anything?.

BTW: I cleaned them anyway, Any risk in doing that?

Regards.

No risk in cleaning them but not much reason to either. I have never used auto-clean so I do not know what happens if you use that tool. If you did not use auto-clean but cleaned them manually you would know whether there were any ITMs or UDRs removed.

Cleaning those files is a precaution not a necessity, although there is certainly no harm in doing so.

Ok, Was just wondering why LOOT didn't find any dirty edits on a fresh install? (Just purchased the Special edition), In every other version of Skyrim i played LOOt has always found them??.

Yes i did use the auto-clean for the first ever (Took quite a while), And auto-cleaned each of the 4 esm files. Anyway how do you manually clean them with SSE EDIT??, Every time i try to apply the filter for cleaning it prevents me to do so and stating it is not necessary cause it's all automated.

Thank's for your answer, Looking to get back into Skyrim again (I'm especially looking forward to "Beyond Skyrim : Bruma).

I have never upgraded from SSEEdit 4.0.1. You can download that version from the Nexus page, just scroll down to that version.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with auto-clean I would just rather choose for myself what files I want to clean and how I want to clean them; like so many things a matter of personal preference.

Although I do find Elminster's preoccupation with squeaky clean files a little weird.
