CTD Whenever Trying to Save

Hello all,

 

After the skyrim update and the SKSE update stuff got figured out, I can no longer save the game in any way. It hard crashes immediately.

 

I have tried:

 

using FallrimTools to clean the scripts

 

loading previous saves and attempting manual saves

 

using player.kill on various saves

 

deactivating all active mods.

 

 

I have no idea now how I am supposed to play my character. Yesterday before SKSE got updated, I made a new character for fun to mess around, and saving on that character works just, but all the mods are the exact same. The only difference would be that the new character I made did not have SkyUI or anything else SKSE-dependant. But even after the SKSE update, the new character's save files work fine and I can save on that file.

 

If anyone could offer any help I would really appreciate being able to play on my main character.

Hi. Are you running Skyrim LE or SE?. If old Skyrim should be fine, if running SKSE 64 Skyrim SE. We have to wait for a new release of SKSE 64 as with Fallout 4 F4SE. The new update will not effect old Skyrim LE. Try removing SKSE if LE and re-installing SKSE. I sometimes down load an ESS clean file save from Nexus. Sometimes that works, not always. It could also be saves are broken. Afraid only a new re-install will

Ah, sorry, I was pretty sure this forum was only for SE. Yes I am running SE, and Bethesda put out an update yesterday or so for new Creation Club stuff, which required a new version of SKSE to be made. So today I got the new version of SKSE and got it installed, then re-installed SkyUI. And now I cannot save in any manner, or load any new cells (ie by fast travel/going inside/etc).
