Help With Vortex

Months ago I uninstalled everything mod related from my hardware with my moded games, but when I re-installed the games today I was expecting them to be vanilla but they weren't (I suppose steam kept the mods?) this saved me a lot of time and they run fine with the mods the only issue is Vortex isn't displaying the mods and since I only now switched to vortex from NMM I'm not really familliar with it, so is there a way to make vortex scan my data folder for mods? or do I have to re-install the the mods with vortex?

Since Vortex does not know about your mods, stop Vortex.

Delete everything from your game directory that was not installed by Bethesda. That includes the directories Meshes, Textures, and Scripts.

Have Steam Validate your game directory. That will replace anything you deleted by mistake.

Run your game and make sure vanilla runs OK. Install any script extenders following their instructions. Check game again.

Start Vortex and drag all your mod archives to the Mods window. You did save all your mod downloads, right?

Install them all in Vortex.

Enable them all in Vortex.

Hit Deploy.

Play.
