The first two bytes (pairs of hex digits) of the CRDT sub-record seem to be the _extra_ damage for a critical hit. Usually you'll want to set them to the same as the weapon's base damage. So when it crits, it does double damage. E.g., if your awesome pistol does 0F 00 damage, set the same in CRDT. (Unless you have a good reason as to why your weapon has a different crit multiplier. It's a valid concept too.) This is usually a minor problem when you copy a weapon and tune its damage up. It will just do less than normal crit damage if you forget the CRDT. It becomes a big problem fast if you copy the mysterious stranger's .44 magnum and tone the damage down to something normal. Its normal damage _and_ crit bonus are over 8000. If tone down just the normal damage, but not the crit, then crits could even punch through a battleship ;) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
